GENERAL STATEMENT OF Wellness Nurse JOB
Under general supervision oversees the wellness and medication needs of residents living in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
– Oversees the wellness of residents and actively communicates with residents, families, physicians and other medical professionals.Supervises and trains resident care staff to provide best practice assistance with activities of daily living.
Maintain current knowledge of California RCFE regulations, ensuring facility compliance.
Makes monthly informational presentations to residents on health related topics.
Ensures that the medication management program is in compliance with applicable regulations.
Uses resident care software on a personal computer to document care and needs of residents.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
A current California LVN license required; a minimum of two year experience in a senior assisted living facility or Skilled Nursing Facility; Two years experience in a management/supervisory position desired. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Ability to speak Japanese desired.
